Case study

CleanHouz recovered $184,000 a year from the calls it used to miss

Marco Luna started by giving Rainslice nothing but his nights and weekends. Here’s what those calls turned out to be worth — and why he handed over the rest of the day.

The problem

Nights and weekends were dead air.

CleanHouz grew on word of mouth, and Marco ran all of it himself — quoting, booking, and cleaning. When he was inside a client’s home with the vacuum running, the phone went to voicemail.

In cleaning, a customer who doesn’t get a callback within about ten minutes simply books the next company on the list. And the calls came hardest at exactly the times Marco couldn’t pick up: weeknights after six, and all weekend, when most people actually sit down to schedule a clean.

Where he started

After-hours only — nothing else changed.

Marco didn’t hand over the business on day one. He pointed only his after-hours line at Rainslice — 6pm to 8am on weekdays, plus weekends — and left daytime calls exactly as they were.

That’s the low-risk way in, and it’s how most operators start. He set his pricing, service area, and calendar rules once. From then on, every call and text that came in outside business hours was answered on the first ring, quoted on the spot, and booked straight into his schedule.

What it recovered

The calls he used to lose became booked work.

Those after-hours calls had always existed — they just used to end in voicemail. Now they end in a scheduled job. CleanHouz books about 24 extra jobs a month after hours, and 38 extra jobs a month in total.

At a $185 average ticket, that’s roughly $84,000 a year in first-visit revenue alone. The bigger number comes from what happens next: about two in five of those customers stay on a recurring bi-weekly plan, so a single recovered Saturday-night call keeps paying for the rest of the year. All in, about $184,000 of recovered revenue annualized.

Then he gave it the day

The after-hours results earned it the daytime line.

Once Marco could see what the nights and weekends were worth, extending it to business hours was an easy call. Rainslice now answers every call and text that comes in, quotes, books, sends confirmations, and follows up on anyone who goes quiet.

He’s still the face of CleanHouz. He’s just not the switchboard anymore.

“Before Rainslice, I was the whole office. Now it runs the business for me, answering every call and text, booking jobs, and following up, even at 9pm on a Saturday. It’s like a full-time office manager who never sleeps, and my bookings keep climbing because of it.”
